Trip to Beijing 5

Today it was the last day for my Beijing trip! I just went to back to Kumamoto, Japan. I got up at 4:45 a.m.! It was very early morning! I dressed and finished everything for leave. Then I had my suit case and the baggage with my hand and went down the floor to the entrance floor. At the front desk, I checked out the room. Then I left the dormitory with him and went to the airport. It was very cold outside. We got on a bus to go to the airport. It was until dark and we could see the full moon. We were a little sleepy. After a while, we got to the airport and got off the bus. We looked at a board to find the airplane’s leaving time. However we couldn’t see it because it was wrong place. I should have got off at another terminal. We had enough time because we had left early, so we got on a bus and went to the terminal where I should go. We arrived there on time, and I checked in at the airport. I had to go soon, so I said him good bye. Before I went, he wrote some Chinese phrases which I could use if I should be bothered something in the airport. I was worry about going back to Japan alone. However, there were some Japanese people who turned to Japan, so I felt relief. I had no problem after that and I arrived in Fukuoka at about 2:30 p.m. Then, I waited a bus for a few minutes. When I arrived, it was a little snowy and a little cold. But it was much colder in Beijing! The bus came and I got on it. I was tired, so I slept in the bus until it arrived in Kumamoto. Then, I called to him to inform my arriving at home.
It was very exciting and rememberable trip!!! I got many interesting and wonderful experiences during the trip!!! I not only enjoyed the trip but also learned many things. I have a lot of things which I must learn, and also I should do now, I think. The trip was a very precious experience for me!!! [373 words]

Trip to Beijing 4

Today, we visited in the Great Wall of China!!! We got up early morning about 7:30 a.m. I dressed in the warm cloths, knit and down jacket and mutton boots. And also I couldn’t forget to wear the gloves and scarf! His uncle and aunt who lived in China were to take us there by their car. They waited near the dormitory, and we went to there. I met them and introduced myself. His aunt seemed to be very kind. She smiled and talked to me brightly. They seemed to have been looking forward to meeting me! I gave them presents, which were a pair of chopsticks. Also I got a broach from them. Its form was flower and so cute! When we talked, I couldn’t speak Chinese, so he talked to them what I talked instead of me. We enjoyed during the drive with talking. His aunt said it was more exciting that I visited to China in summer because it was very cold and there were nothing interesting in winter. But it was so interesting for me to visit in winter because it was warm in Kumamoto and I couldn’t experience the cold weather! Also I can’t see a pound frozen too! On the way, we enjoyed seeing the view. I could see a village which was the old form and there were less houses, which were not so big. These were different from Japanese old houses. After a few minutes driving, a part of the Great Wall appeared!

After a while, we arrived at the Great Wall of China!! It was so cold there! His aunt and uncle were to wait in their car while we enjoyed there. First we got off the car and bought each ticket. And he and his aunt and I took pictures together in front of the gate. There was a pick-up bus to the entrance, so we got on the bus. Then we got off it, his aunt and uncle went back to their car. They said “Have a good time and enjoy there!” He and I began to walk on the Great Wall. How wonderful and magnificent it was!!! The view was so beautiful!! We could see the long wall continue. But, it was so freezing!! I felt a pain with my face. He and I often said “What a freezing!” Walking was a little hard for me because the Great Wall had steep slopes! Also there were a little hard stairs. However, the view from the top was beautiful! We took many pictures there.

We got on a ropeway when we went back. A cabin could accommodate 6 people. The door was not automatic, so I closed the door. In the cabin, he talked with a man who was sitting next him. I think they talked it was cold or something. I wish I could speak foreign languages as he spoke, of course English! I took a picture from the cabin. I could take a good one. When we came down, I saw a camel. People could ride it and enjoy with it. But it was just his thought. He said that.

After we enjoyed there, we went to eat lunch with his aunt and uncle. We went to the Chinese restaurant where he and I had been once on the first day when I had come to Beijing. We ordered soup and boiled fish and roast chicken and so on. The pot of tea’s scent was good, which was chrysanthemum. We enjoyed eating. His aunt talked to me in easy Japanese words. She had lived in Japan a few years ago, she said. She was really kind! After eating, I said to his aunt and uncle good-bye and went back to home with him.

We took a rest about 1 hour in the room, and we had a time, so we went to go shopping. We walked around stores. Also we dropped on at a supermarket and bought some foods. There were a lot of foods and many kinds of food. It was same as Japanese supermarket, I thought. Then we went back to home by the subway.

At the night, we and his cousin went out to dinner together. She had finished her job early today, so she could come to dinner with us! I was glad to meet and talk with her again. Then, she gave me presents. The one was a key ring whose design was giant panda. The other was a red pouch, which had some different size pouches in the big pouch. It was interesting. I liked these very much! I said to her thank you! We ate okayu and gyoza and sauté. Of course, I ordered okayu without Coriander! Haha We spent a good time and it was my last night of the trip.

After he and I got back to home, I prepared for my going back to Japan. I put my cloths and presents in my suit case. I was lonely to leave Beijing! I wanted to be in a few days!! I wish I had much time to stay! I had to wake up in early morning the next day, so I went to bed until midnight that day. [870 words]

Trip to Beijing 3

I got up late morning today. Maybe it was at 9:00 a.m.? So we drank a cup of corn soup which I brought from Japan as a breakfast. I dressed up, and first we went to the bank to exchange the Japanese money to Chinese money. There was a guard standing in front of the bank. We went into there and received a ticket as we do in Japan and waited a few minutes. It was a difference which I found between a Japanese bank and a Chinese bank that the front desk was glassed in. It had a small hole which we could receive the money from. I was just looking him exchanging. It seemed to be bother because it was needed to write something.

After that we went back to dormitory. It would be noon soon, so we went to eat lunch at a restaurant, which had Thailand’s dishes. We ordered fried potato, which formed round and was like a ball, and stir-fry, meat dumpling, pineapple juice which had some pineapple pulp into it, and so on. I felt the rice was a little dry than Japanese rice. Of course these dishes were delicious!!

Then we went to the Beijing zoo today! As soon as we went into the zoo, we found the Giant Panda’s place and watched them. It was a first time to watch Giant Panda except TV program. It was much prettier than I watched on TV!! The giant panda didn’t move first, but it began to move a little! It turned again and again with its body lay. It was so cute!! It seemed to be like a father resting on his holiday. Next, we watched many kinds of animals, for example monkey, rhinoceros, hawk, bear, tiger and so on. I felt the Beijing zoo was much broader than the zoo in Kumamoto. Each animal place was far from another that place. When we watched bear, the bear moved little. We thought the bear had fallen asleep because it was winter. The bear was so cute too. Then, we watched hawk and took a picture of it. There were some little holes which a hand could be in. The persons who were taking pictures of hawk said, “Take pictures from the hole and you can take good pictures!” It was a good chance to take pictures because a hawk was near us and the hole. I could take good one! Then, we found a lion’s monument which was being made. It was so big!!! In the zoo, there was the aquarium too. We didn’t go there, but I thought we could watch every animal in the Beijing zoo! We took pictures in front of the fountain, whose water froze a little because of cold weather. At a shop, I found a unique design tie, which was Giant Panda and so cute. So I bought it for my father as a present! We enjoyed there.

After that, we went to go shopping to downtown in Beijing by subway. There were many shop buildings and a wide and long street! First we enjoyed shopping at the street shops. It was a Chinese atmosphere and very exciting! I found some odd foods there!! Scorpion, starfish, caterpillar, these were grilled and stuck on a skewer!! I couldn’t believe that people ate these. I didn’t try to eat. On the other hand, there were some foods seemed to be delicious. I ate strawberries wrapped melted candy and picked on a skewer, which was like Ichigoame in Japan. It was sweet and delicious! Also I tried to eat a grilled lamb on a skewer. He said it had a peculiar smell before I ate, but it was no smell and good taste. In the street, some clerks talked to me in Japanese, “Why don’t you see my shop and buy something?” They spoke Japanese a little and talked to visitors. It seemed to be invitation of club in university. haha Then, we walked the big street and entered another store. I bought souvenirs there for my friends and family and grandparents. For my grandparents, I chose tea. When we bought it, we could drink a cup of tea. The scent was very good!! I liked and took it. For my family and friends, I bought candies and snacks. I hope its tastes are good. After shopping, we enjoyed taking pictures of the view of the downtown with walking. There were still a few Christmas decollations. In Beijing, it was still Christmas!

At the night, we went to eat dinner at a restaurant near the dormitory. It had a lot of kinds of okayu and these were cheep. Do you know Coriander? It is sometimes called Chinese parsley. It is often used into okayu in China. But I don’t like its taste! Yesterday, I heard from the senior that Coriander smelled like stinkbug and she didn’t like it. I agreed it! We could order okayu without it. But he wanted me to eat it once! I never want to eat it again. Of course okayu was delicious if it didn’t have Coriander.

On the way to go the restaurant, we walked a street, and there were some people selling things on the street. At nights, there were often these people, so we could enjoy shopping. I thought we didn’t find such a little shop in Japan.

After dinner, on the way to go back to the dormitory, he bought a fruit at a shop on the street. It was his recommend fruit and cheep than we bought it in Japan. We ate it as a dessert. It was good!

We got back to home early today, and we spent in the room and relaxed with watching TV. I was tired to enjoy sightseeing, so I was very sleepy. I went to bed early tonight. [973 words]

Trip to Beijing 2

I wake up at 7:30 a.m. in the morning. He and I went out at 9:00 a.m. It was so cold in Beijing! First, we bought fried breads at a shop on the street, which was often eaten as a breakfast in Beijing. And we bought a cup of soy milk. These tastes were good! To surprise, the fried bread was very cheap, whose cost was about 20 yen in Japan. It was so cold in outside that the bread became cold soon during eating.

After eating, we got on a bus and went to Summer Palace, which was very famous place. When I got on the bus, I found that we pay the money on ahead and got the ticket from the clerk. Also, the line of seats was different from in Japan. In spite of early morning, there were many people.

Anyway, we arrived at Summer Palace. There was a big lake, which has frozen over! First, we asked women and had a woman take a picture in front of the lake. Then, we went down to the frozen lake. It seemed to be a skating rink! I found a rental shop of boat. However, the shop closed off because boats were not needed! Also, I saw some people taking exercise there. It is similar to Japanese exercise with radio, I thought. Then, we walked around the lake and went to Paiyunmen Gate and the octagon tower. These were so beautiful! We went up the stair of the tower. I felt as if I were in a different place from ordinary. The view from the top of the tower was beautiful too. And also, we walked the Long Corridor. My friend said to me the paint which is drawn has each story. These were wonderful! We watched some beautiful building and colorful outfits.

Next, we took the subway and went to the next place. In Beijing, passengers needed to be checked the bag before took the subway. We only let own bag pass the machine. Also, I got not a ticket but a card to take the subway. It was noon, so we went to eat Chinese dumpling. We ordered two plates of boiled dumplings. The material of the one was Chinese chive and stirred egg, and cut shrimp, which was common dumpling. The material of the other was ground meat. These were delicious!

We went to Tiananmen Square. There were some guard and strong security. I gazed some structures there, for example Great Hall of the People, Zhengyangmen Gate, Tiananmen Gate and Monuments there. I often see Tiananmen Square on TV, but I felt it was magnificent when I went there. However, we couldn’t go into National Palace Museum because we didn’t have enough time. If you want to visit here, it needed much time because there are many wonderful things to see.

After that, we went back home by subway. My friend just had a test. In evening, he introduced his friends to me. They were two women and have been to study Chinese too. They were talkative person and fun to be with. The two senior women and I went to go shopping together by taxi. They took me a store which was build recently. I surprised that there were many booths. It was very different from Japanese store. In Japan, it was very wide and some shops in a store, but in China, there were many individual booths, which was crowded a lot of goods. I bought a pair of boots whose color was black. In China, we could ask the clerk to make the cost down, so the seniors bargained the cost for the clerk. After shopping, we took a rest at a starbucks and enjoyed talking for a while. I heard much interesting stories and their experiences in China from them. And I talked about my incidents that I had arrived at Beijing and so on. When we went out the shop, I had a different. I needed not to remove a cup and could leave it on the table. By the way, I heard from them that we could get the tumbler which had a different design from each city’s starbucks in China. So it is good to gather all design.

At the night, we met my friend again, and went out for dinner together! We chose going the restaurant by taxi, so we took a taxi on the road. However, we didn’t know well where the restaurant was. They explained the general place to the taxi driver. He was so kind that he sometimes got off the taxi and asked someone the way to go there! My seniors said he was really kind and there were seldom such a driver and also his way of speaking was soft. In Beijing, some taxi driver says passengers to get off the taxi if the driver doesn’t know the place where we want to go.

We managed to arrive at the restaurant, which was Din Tai Fung. The restaurant is in Japan too. There were so beautiful and dishes were delicious! We ordered Xiaolongbao, which was known soup dumpling, and Almond jelly; annin tofu, and so on. I was full! We spent a very good time eating and talking.

After dinner, we dropped in at the place which had beautiful decorated lights. If we arrived there earlier, we could see the broadened light on the ceiling too. The senior said it could light the
letters on the ceiling if we sent an e-mail that we wrote messages. How wonderful it is! We took pictures together there and enjoyed seeing the beautiful lights. It was late at night, then, we went back each home by taxi. I really enjoyed the day! [957 words]

Trip to Beijing 1

I went to trip to Beijing alone from 27th to 31st in December. My friend is in there now to study, so I went to see him. The trip was very exciting for me!!!

I left to China today. The airplane was to leave at about 3:00 p.m. and I must have arrived at the Fukuoka airport before 2 hours. I had thought to go there alone, but his mother followed me together, which was relieved me because I had never been to the airport alone and didn't know what I should do there. We got on the bus from Traffic Center at 9:30 a.m. We enjoyed talking about China and so on. Then, we arrived at Fukuoka airport at noon. First I checked in there, and I have a time, so we ate lunch at a restaurant.

Then it was a time to leave, so I said her good bye and got on the airplane. I was very anxious about going by myself because I had not got on the airplane alone, much less been to abroad! There were more Chinese than Japanese in the airplane. It have no Japanese announces, only Chinese and English. And also, there were no Japanese flight attendants. I had a meal during the flight, which was soba. The passengers must have written the arrival card. I didn't know that, so I was bothered.

Then, the airplane arrived at Dalian at about 5:00 p.m. It was dark and so cold and some snow left there. I saw many same design houses, which lined up. I thought we can’t see like these in Japan, so it was interesting! The people who went to Beijing must have connected to the airplane. However, it was the first problem for me! I didn't know what I should do, so I asked the Japanese women who I found that what I should do there. They were so kind that they took me together, so I could pass the immigration formalities.

When I got on the airplane which left to Beijing, I had a new friend! She was a Chinese girl, who was a freshman in a university and learned Economics. It was the reason I got acquainted with her that, when I spoke English to order a beverage to a flight attendant, she asked me in English that why I spoke English. She could speak English, so we began to talk and enjoyed it! My English was very poor, although, she tried to understand what I wanted to say. She learned Japanese a little by herself. Her notebook was written some Japanese words. We talked about our name; for example what the origin or meaning of our name, and Japanese cultures and so on. I taught her a Japanese word, which was “jaane!” When the airport arrived at Beijing, we took a picture together!

We got off the airplane and went to exit. My friend and his cousin waited in the airport, so I have no problem after arriving there. I didn't have a cellular phone and couldn't call to my friend, so she was anxious for me and rent me her cellular phone. However, I had the next problem! I looked for my suit case with her, but we couldn't find it! After all, we got out to exit without my suit case. We tried to go back the place where the suit case was, but we were stopped to enter by a guard. At the time, I heard someone call my name! And I turned around, it was my friend! He said to me, “What are you doing there? Why did you get out from over there?” I didn't understand that mean, anyway, I told him my problem. He and the girl explained my situation to the guard, but the guard didn't admit my friends to enter the place, so I must have entered alone. I didn't know well where the suit case was. Then, I found the women who took care of me when get off the airplane at Dalian, and I asked them where they took their suit case. And I found the place. However, the guard followed me and I could take my suit case! I said my friends and the women thanks for everything. Then, I said good bye to the girl, and she said to me, “jaane!” and we left. It was very exciting time! After that, I heard the mean of his words which I had not known from him. He and his cousin were waiting at the exit of international line, but I went through them. He wondered why I got out from the exit of domestic airlines, so he said that words. Also, he admired me about my coming alone. However, I relaxed because I reached and met them!

After that, we went out to eat dinner together at a Chinese restaurant. I ate delicious meals there. My friend introduced his cousin to me. I didn't know Chinese, so he told her in Chinese what I talked to her instead of me. We talked in English, but we couldn't understand well what we talked each other. It was a little difficult. I thought I must study English harder! But we enjoyed eating and talking a lot!

Then, we said good bye to his cousin. He and I went to the dormitory. He had borrowed a room for me. I checked in the room. It was enough big, and there were bath room too. It was very warm in the room and very comfortable. That day, I was so tired that I went to bed early. It was very exciting day!

Book Review 12

I read the book whose title was Corduroy Makes a Cake. It was the birthday of Lisa that day. After she left the home, Corduroy, who was a bear, thought to make a birthday cake for her and started to cook by himself. First, he prepared some materials for cooking a cake. Next, he began to start cooking. However, he turned over a bag of flour, and also he was not careful about making. He made the kitchen very messy. When he looked for cake mix, he found a box and opened it. It was a cake, which was not decorated anything yet. So he began to decorate it with cream. But, he had thought to practice before he decorated on the cake. He went to the bathroom and began to write on the tub. Then, he heard a noise and found someone came back to home. So he hurried up and hid himself under a shelf. Then, a box into which had some buttons dropped on him from the shelf. He had a good idea that he made the box decorated beautifully by using the buttons. On the other hand, in the bathroom, Lisa’s mother was cleaning up there because Corduroy made there messy. Next, she came to the room where Corduroy was, so he hid into the box not to be found by her. Then, Lisa’s friends came to the home with their hands each present for Lisa because it was the Lisa’s birthday. They gave Lisa presents and she opened these packages. The present box left finally, she opened. It was Corduroy! She smiled and hugged him. It was a very wonderful her birthday.

Corduroy wanted to please Lisa, so he tried to cook a birthday cake for her. Although he couldn’t cook well, he could please her by another way. What a wonderful thinking! It may not work whenever we want, but it makes a more surprising situation. If I ware Lisa, I’m sure I would be glad very much. [334 words]

Christmas Decorations

Hello! It was very cold today, and a weather news said it'll be more colder tomorrow and may snow! I hope it will be snow because it makes me exciting. Anyway, look at the picture. It is so cute, isn't it? My mother decorated them at the entrance of my house. It makes Christmas mood more! We don't put a Christmas tree now because it is too big to put in the room, which is high as tall as me, but I think it is about 140 centimeter. Decorating some Christmas ornaments is very fun! I went to watch the illuminations of Saisyunkan with my family. Have you been to watch them yet? I recommend to go once. My father asked us to go there, and also my mother said she had wanted to watch them before. It was not holiday today, but many person came there. So we waited a few moments. We can watch the illuminations with driving the car. The all illuminations were very wonderful and beautiful. The best illumination which I loved is this picture's one. The little whale and the big whale were looked like a parent and a child, and they seemed to be good. The blue right was so beautiful. The others were lovely too. For example, the castle and high heels were remembered us the story of Cinderella. And there were the illuminations which formed a train, horses, snowman and so on. The colorful lights were shining beautifully. These fascinated us so much. There was a place where we could take pictures for our memory. 75 students said “yes”, and 45 students said “no”. Many students think Gakushoku is clean, however, a little students want Gakushoku to be clean more. I think sometimes there were some dished on the table, it is not good.

What do you eat lunch with?
85 students eat with their friends. 31 students eat with their club. 5 students eat with alone. Only one student answered “other”. Few student eat alone. I think it is more fun to eat with someone rather than eating alone because we can enjoy talking. I think there were many students who join a club, so it has a lot of number of the students who eat with their club. [278 words]

Look! It is a cream puff which I cooked today. It seems delicious, isn't it? It was a only cream puff which I made good. I put some cut strawberries in it. Its taste was good. I couldn't make a cream good paste. It was a little hard paste. I think I mixed too much it. I will try to cook again and if I can cook good, I want my friend to eat it. [75 words]

My friend and I went to the city center to buy each Christmas present together. It was sorry that one of my friends couldn't go with us today. I went there by buss because it was a little far from my house, it maybe takes about 45 minutes or more. And also, downhill makes me tired. We met at 11:00 a.m. the front of Parco. And first, we went to a shop which I wanted to go. I have never been to the shop, so we couldn't find it soon. “Is it really here?” “I don’t know well.” We talked. But soon, I could find the shop. I found a good wallet there, but I couldn't decide whether I bought. It made from leather and was a simple design and was a little bit big size. Also, it had many colors, which was orange, black, blown and so on. I liked orange color’s one. I wanted to look for at another shop, so we left there. At the next shop, there were good design wallets too. The one which I liked is a little small and its color was black. It has strip design and it was cool. I was bothered which I bought. My friend said, “It is good, I think.” I liked it too and I think it is useful for my friend, so I decided the black one. The shop seller said, “I think your boyfriend will like it and be glad.” I hope he will like it! After that, when we were waling the street, we saw our friend! She came to see us and talked with us a few minutes. She was gibing papers which announced her club’s music concert. Next, we went to Plaza to look for a present she would give. But before that, we dropped in at Parco because she had what she had wanted to buy. Window-shopping was fun and we came to want buying cute things! She found wonderful clothes and bought these. If I had had enough money, I could have bought anything! Anyway, she could find good cup for present. Also, she bought a pack of cookies and a Christmas card. After finishing buying each present, we took a rest at Mister Donut. These of the picture were what I ordered. I like the Rich donut, which is strawberry so much. This is my favorite and I often choose it. I like strawberry, so I often try strawberry taste foods. The other is the egg muffin, and which I have not eaten but it was delicious! We can buy the donuts cheep than usual that day because the shop was on sale. We can buy them 100 yen now. We enjoyed talking about recently incident and love. We had a good time there. What are these?

I was not busy and had no plan today, so I wanted to do something interesting. I tried to cook cream puff by myself at home. These of the upper picture don’t look cream puff, do these? I couldn’t cook well! I didn’t make mistakes when I was cooking and I had my confident. However, it is a result. Moreover, it found that I didn’t have the materials to be needed to make cream. So I couldn’t make it. I wanted to eat cream puff which I cook. Then, my mother saw them and said, “It is like rice crackers!” I think so too! I’ll go to buy some needed materials tomorrow. Recently, I haven’t cooked some sweets, and it was a first time to cook it without my mother’s help. But, cooking is fun. What I am anxious is whether it is delicious or not. It didn’t seem to be difficult to cook and it didn’t take much time. It needs sugar, flour, eggs, butter, a little water and salt. First, mix the eggs. The cake looked very cute; it was covered white chocolate and it had a chocolate formed a star. The pink color of the cake was so cute. I’m sorry that I had not taken the picture of these. Hi, Christmas Day is coming soon! My friends and I are going to go shopping together. They are going to buy a present for someone because they exchange each present someone at a Christmas party. Movie Review 5 Groundhog Day

This movie is about a person's kindness. If you knew what happened in the future, you can do something which makes a good situation. So, we had better do what we can now.

The main character is Phil, who is an interviewer and he is a cold person. Rita is Phil's coworker, and is a gentle person and has her own opinions, and also works hard.

At the beginning of the movie, Phil and his coworkers visited a town to interview on Groundhog Day. On the way to go back to town, however, they were in a traffic jam due to heavy snow and stayed in the town. The next day, Phil felt something strange because the same things which he had experienced yesterday happened around him. And the following day, he experienced Groundhog Day again when he returned to the same day and he had only the day which was Groundhog Day. So he thought he could do anything he wanted and need not be afraid because the next day didn't come and he was never arrested. He made bad accidents when he attacked and drove on a rail way. And also, Phil asked questions to Rita to approach her, and he could know about her and they go a good relationship and she was attracted him. Although, it didn't work forever as Phil had thought. He felt down and he tried to kill himself many times, but he couldn't help returning to the day.

In the climax of the movie, Phil helped people every time because he knew what happened that day. He was so kind to take care of all the people in the town, and that made Rita attracted to him and they hall in love with each other. Also, when Phil woke up, it was not the Groundhog Day.

I like this movie because it was interesting to see what Phil did to get a good situation for him. [324 words]

Flu comes!

Recently, many friends catch a cold or flu in my club. We had a party in our club last week, and then, I heard that some members had had a flu, so I was surprised to hear that and worry about them. However, I got a cold last week too. I think we had been so tired in the party. But now, I have recovered yet! wintervacation plan

Hello! How are you doing? I went to the city with my father after school today because I wanted to book a airplane's ticket. I though I would go to travel agency by myself, but I was anxious because it was my first time to book a ticket, and if I had a problem, which was bothered. So I took him. Anyway, I am planning to trip during the winter vacation now! I'm going to go to Beijing for about 5 days, and I'll stay at my friends house. I'm looking forward it so much! However, I have an concern about going by airplane, which is I must go to China alone. I have never been somewhere by airplane, so I worry whether I can arrive there without some problems. Although, I am excited to go alone. By the way, I want to go the Great Wall of China once, so I hope to visit there. I haven't think about the good plan that What I want to go or do things. But, my friend says that he take me some good place, so I'm looking forward to it. Now, He said it is very very cold and there have snow in Beijing, and when I visit there, it'll coldest weather. So I have to wear a worm cloths! The time is not so different from in Japan, and which was late for one hour in Beijing. I think it is no problem. I'll write about this trip after I go to trip. Book Review 11

I read a book whose title was Hansel & Gretel. I tell about the story. There was a poor family, which was 4 people, a mother, a father, Hansel and Gretel, and they were always starving. The stepmother couldn’t stand the poor life, and had an idea that she took Hansel and Gretel into the forest and let them not to come back to their house. Of course Hansel and Gretel didn’t know her thought. However, Hansel had left some little stones on the way, so they could go back home. The stepmother managed to leave them in a deep forest, so she tried to do it again. Although Hansel left bits of bread on the street, but these were eaten by birds, so they lost their way. Then, they found a house which made of sweets and they invited by an old woman. The old woman served them many sweets. In the morning, Gretel wake up and saw the woman cooking for breakfast and she was asked Gretel to help for cooking. Gretel didn’t see Hansel in the morning and the woman didn’t tell about it. Then, Gretel found a shed, where Hansel stayed. Hansel told to Gretel that the old woman was a witch and she would eat him after he grew up more. So Gretel wanted to help him and run away from here soon! Few days passed, the old woman said she would eat Hansel, so Gretel said to her she couldn’t fit in the oven, and the old woman put into it to prove it had no problem. And then, Gretel shut the oven’s door soon. Finely, Hansel and Gretel could go back to their home, and they lived with their father happily.

What a terrible stepmother! I can’t believe that she didn’t be anxious about her children, and more, she did anything to get a good life for herself. However, Hansel was enough wise to leave a sigh not to lose the way to home. Hansel and Gretel had a good relationship, so they could escape from the witch’s trap. If Gretel had been selfish person, she would have run away by herself with Hansel left there. She was a good girl. [370 words]

Book Review 10

I read the book whose title was Tigger Comes to the Forest. One day in the morning, Pooh heard a noise from outside. He thought it was his friend, so he went in front of the door to know who it was and opened the door. It was Tigger. He didn't eat breakfast, so Pooh served him honey, which was Pooh's favorite food. However, Tigger didn't like it. Pooh suggested to go to Piglet's house because Tigger might like Piglet's haycorns. They went to Piglet's house and Tigger tried to eat haycorns, however he didn't like it too. And next they visited to Eeyore. He gave Tigger a little patch which he had been keeping for his birthday. Although, it didn't match his taste. Pooh and Piglet were anxious about Tigger because he couldn't eat anything for breakfast. Then they thought of an idea that they visited to Kanga because she was sure to serve something Tigger liked.

Pooh and his friends gave Tigger some foods as they knew he didn't eat breakfast yet. They are so kind and have wonderful heart that they want to do something for their friends. Reading this book made me happy and make my heart warm, so I like the Pooh's story. [208 words]

Movie Review 4 - Drumline -

This movie tells us we are not alone and thinking of our fellows is important. It said that everything will never work if you don't care about your members.

The main character is Devon, who is really good at playing the drums, however who is selfish. Dr. Lee was the leader of the music band, and he is strict person. Sean is the section leader of the drum part, who really loves music.

At the beginning of the movie, Devon graduated from the high school and he entered the university which was famous for the brass band because he was recommended. The training was so hard, for example running while currying a drum. Devon and the members finished the training as freshman and they took a test to separate their class. Devon passed with the upper class and he was very glad that. At a marching event, Devon played Sean's part because he made him angry by his insolent words. Devon's play was exciting, however, he made Dr. Lee angry by his selfish playing. One day at a practice, he asked to play the section, but he couldn't read music, which was a problem and not saying that was serious problem too. He needed to go classes and study about music, and he also couldn't play at concerts.

The climax of the movie was exciting for their playing music. Devon couldn't play at the BEC classic, but he admitted to play in next year's one. At the classic, both A&T and BMC played a really wonderful performance, so a winner was not decided and each Drumline was to play by turns and they played a performance. As a result, A&T won.

I like this movie because I love music and playing the drum was very exciting and wonderful. And also it was emotional that Devon changed from when he was selfish person and he began to learn music hard. [319 words]

Book Review 9

I read a book whose title was Corduroy's Hike. Lisa was going to go hiking at a school event. In a morning, she prepared for going hiking and checked her backpack. She had a bear named Corduroy, but she was anxious about dropping down him, so she decided not to bring. However, Corduroy followed her. She and her classmates arrived at a park and they worked. The backpack bounced when she worked, and Corduroy fell down from the backpack. He though Lisa would pick up him but she didn't notice it. Then, two hikers picked up him but they though it had a owner so they left him. Next, some Cob Scout fined him and a boy threw him and they treated him as a boll. Corduroy began to walk and he fell into a stream, however he stopped on a rock. When it became the time that Lisa and her classmates went back to school, Lisa was very sad because she had lost Corduroy somewhere. When they got on the buss, Susan sat down next to Lisa and Susan gave Lisa Corduroy. Lisa was really happy.

I think Lisa was wondered why Corduroy was duty and wet, and she would asked him about that. Corduroy had many hard incidents, so I think he tired very much and he was lonely during alone, and also he might think he couldn't met Lisa again. When I was child and I lost my way to home, I was sad and miss my mother. [251 words]

I read a book whose title was A Christmas Carol. There was a man named Scrooge, who liked to earn much money and was a very cold man. It was Christmas Iv, he and his coworker named Bob worked. Then two men visited from Scrooge and asked him to help for poor people, but Scrooge refused it because he didn’t like someone became happy. At the night, when he went to his room, Marley ghost who had lived before some years ago and worked harder as Scrooge did was appeared. He didn’t want him to become the disliked person, so he came to give advice to him. The Marley ghost said to him that 3 ghosts would appear and advise. They were the ghost which taught Scrooge’s past and now and future. One night, the ghost of past Christmas appeared. He took Scrooge his past and showed. Scrooge knew some truths that a boy who had visited was very lonely or a girl who was his friend might die in the future, which were made him really sad. Scrooge wanted to change himself. The next night, the ghost of Christmas Now appeared and he let Scrooge understand how he was thought by everyone. Scrooge regretted so much. He saw the last ghost of future Christmas and he understood he had been spending an unhappy life and wanted to be loved by everyone. Then he was in his room. He had a good idea to help some poor people which he saw in the incidents. First he decided to give one thing for people, but he didn’t want to be know his name, so he asked a boy to bring it to a place which he asked. Also Scrooge became kind person.
I love this story because it was very happy in the end of it. Scrooge give some people needed thing and he became to think about everyone’s happiness. [319 words]

Eat eat eat!!!

I heard an interesting story from my brother today and I want to tell the story.

Some days ago, My brother and his friends tried to eat 100 hamburgers at MacDonald with 7 people! They ordered 3 kinds of hamburgers, which were Mac chicken and Mac pork and hamburger. However, it took about 30 minuets to serve 100 hamburgers. They started to eat at 11:30 am. However, they couldn't eat almost of them. The boy eating most of hamburgers ate about 7 hamburgers. I think it is awesome!

And also, my brother said they will try to eat 100 snacks next. I cannot do these things if my friends supposed to me to try to eat. Have you ever tried something impossible? [122 words]

At the festivel

I took a volunteer work, which was a help for the festival of Human Network which was the company of social welfare. The festival was held yesterday and people lived near there came to enjoy. I worked a game shop with my friend. Children often took a game, and we got a good relationship soon. We talked much and enjoyed. They talked to me, "Look! I got many goods at the game!" and also, a boy asked me which super ball I wanted. And I chose one, he gave me it. A girl was good at pantomime and she showed me it. Also, a Clown who was good at pantomime appeared and he let us very fun. The girl had him learn some pantomime, and she showed it to us. It was cool! On the other hand, a boy disliked the Clown and he ran away from him when he approached. However he seemed to enjoy it. Then, a little girl said there was a rainbow in the sky, so we looked at the sky and fined it. We wondered why there was a rainbow though it was not rain that day. Then a boy said "I know! I have read a book about it." We nodded to him and I thought he was a wise boy. I had a good time with them that day. [226 words]

Book Review 7

The book is The Railway Children. One the Peter's birthday, mans took their father away and he didn't come back home or call to them. The three children were anxious about their father, but their mother never talked about it. The children and their mother lost their house and moved to the countryside. The children always shook a handkerchief when a train passed, then a man who was a passenger replayed to it. They were so poor that they couldn't afford to buy things they needed. One cold day, Peter tried to steal coals, but he was seen a man and apologized. Then, their mother had sick, so they write a letter to a man they always shook a handkerchief to have him help. He accepted their request and gave things they needed and their mother recovered. One day, they saw the land fall down on the rail way. If a train came, it may have a big accident, so they managed to inform the danger. They had each red flag which they made and shook it when a train came, and it worked. They awarded a prize from the Railway Company. One the other hand, they knew their father had arrested and shocked. The long times passing, Bobbie wrote a letter to the man, which was written about her father because she really missed him. She was not happy on her birthday because her father was not there. When she went to the station, she had a wonderful surprise there. She saw her father get out because the old man got a letter from her and catch the real spy. The family met again and they were really happy.

I thought the three children was so patient and distinguished person because they thought many good ways when they had some troubles or needed a help. Also, their father disappeared and they were sad. I can't bear it if I were in the situation. However, I was glad they met their father again and he was not a spy. [339 wrods]

Trip to Fukuoka

My brother and I went to Fukuoka together. We just wanted to go there because we had not been for a while, so we had no plan that where we go or what we do. We left to Fukuoka by bus in the morning, and it took a few hours than usual because the road was busy. Then we arrived at Tenjin at noon, we decided to go to Fukuoka tower first and got on a bus. We upped a high place of the tower by elevator, and the view which we could see from there was so beautiful! The under picture was taken there. We enjoyed watching the view. We found Omikuji there. If you upped to Fukuoka tower, why don't you try it? And also, you can buy a key ring which you can make to put your name, and it was original design of the town. And, there was a printer which printed a newspaper which was published when you were born. I think it is fun! Then, we had a lunch near there and we went to Yahoo dome next. Something wasn't held that day, but we walked around the dome and found a lovely thing. This is the above picture's one. It is very cute, isn't it? It is a soft bank's character which is called "Otosan", which wore the uniform. It was placed in front of a shop where soft bank team's goods were sold. And next, we went to Marinoa City, where we could enjoy shopping and also there were two Ferris Wheels. We enjoyed shopping. Some cloths was down their cost in this season, so it was good time to buy. I found a cute accessory at shop and bought it, which is my favorite accessory now. At evening, we went back home. Cars

This movie is about friendships. Having many friends is very good and trusting them is very important. Everyone advises when their friends have some problems because they hope for their friends' success. Counting on friends makes good relationship.

The main character is McQueen, who is proud of himself and he doesn't accept any advice. He didn't have his true friends because he was selfish. He also had not counted on his friends before, but he found it was very important. Mater is an easygoing car and he is honest. He is good at driving backwards and also like make mischief. Doc was a calm car. He has won a car race and was famous before. He was anxious about McQueen and gave him some advice. Sally is good at leading her friends and she cherishes them too. She was very popular in the town and was liked by everyone.

At the beginning of the movie, McQueen left to take part in a final car race with Mac who was a trailer. At night, Mac was very sleepy and drove falling asleep. Then bad cars made fun of Mac, so Mac and McQueen were separated. When McQueen woke up, he was on the road and noticed that he lost Mac, so he searched for Mac. Then, he arrived at a town which was quiet. He broke the road in the town when he arrived there, so he was required to mend the road. At first, he thought only mending the road as fast as possible. However, McQueen worked hard to leave the town and take part in the race, also he had a lot of good friends there and he changed from what he used to be.

The climax of the movie was very emotional. McQueen took part in the car race to which his friends came to help and cheer him on. McQueen counted on his friends when he had some troubles this time. He had his friends teach important things for him which he hadn't known. Before McQueen reached the goal, another car had an accident and he couldn't move by himself. So McQueen didn't reach the goal and he ran to the car and helped him because he remembered a Doc's phrase. His behavior was admired by everyone.

I like the movie because McQueen improved himself to meet a lot of fellows. It was very emotional that he helped his opponent in spite of his losing. I thought it was wonderful to have good friends. [417 words]

Billiards

I joined a club activity today. It was a first activity after the seniors retired and it had become our turn to support the club. We enjoyed played boring at Supora first. We separated 9 teams and played boring. There were 4 members in my team, and they were good at boring than me! After that, one of my friend and our junior and me played billiards together. But we didn't know the rule well. So we made our rule and played it. However it was very fun! Being hit the boll to another ball was so difficult for us! I took mistakes many times. Also, it was so cool that one of our seniors was playing it! He was good at playing. [123 words]

Book Review 6

I read the book whose title was Amanda Pig and the Awful, Scary Monster. About this story, Amanda felt there was a ghost in the night. First, she felt a ghost was in the back yard, but it was just a bush. It looked like a ghost for her. Next, she felt there was a ghost in her room when she was going to bed. However, there was no ghost or someone. She was scared and called her parents. She was so be scared that her brother supposed an idea, and they built an toy tower in front of the door and put toys beside a window. Althought she was scared, she thought there was no ghost. She wanted to call her parents, but it would make them worry, she thought. So she stood and ran to her parents' room and stopped in front of the door, and she fell asleep there. However, she had an courage and didn't be scared a ghost.

As a child, we can seem something as a ghost in the night. I understand very much and remembered my childhood. But, I think it is not only child because we seem something as a ghost when we heared a ghost story or thought about it. Anyway, I like Amanda's brother's behavior because he is enough kind to care for Amanda. [223 words]

Book Review 5

I read the book whose title was Pooh Goes Visiting. The characters are Pooh, Rabbit, and Christopher Robin. One day, Pooh was walking with singing and he found a large hole. He thought there was Rabbit and said toward the hole that, "Is there anybody?" Then, someone answered, "No." He doubted because he heard someone voice. They were repeating some conversation for a while, but someone gave up and said, "I'm a Rabbit." and "Come in." Pooh had a dishes there. After that, he'll have gone back from the hole, but it was a little bit difficult for him because of his tightly body. He couldn't do out of the hole and move his body. Rabbit tried to pull him out, but is didn't work. Then, Rabbit wanted a help to Christopher Robin. However, they couldn't pull out. So Christopher Robin supposed an idea to Pooh that he should stay for a week without eating to pull out form the hole. Pooh was sadly to hear that. But, Christopher Robin was so generous that he read book during Pooh was in the hole. After a week, Christopher Robin and Rabbit and his friends made an effort to pull Pooh out and it worked because Pooh stood eating for a while. Pooh said them thanks.

I like this story because Pooh has good friends. Pooh is very cute and he is also easygoing bear. Also, it was fun that Pooh talked with someone, finally who was Rabbit. Rabbit didn't said yes, but Pooh noticed it was Rabbit and he didn't give up to asking. [263 words]

club activiity

What a beautiful illumination, isn't it? I took these pictures at Aso Farm Land. I went there with my club members. Driving was the today's club activity. On the today's activity, the most members joined today's activity. We went there by each car. I rode a senior's car. Then, we arrived at Aso Firm Land and enjoyed watching beautiful illuminations there. We were very exciting to see them. And we took a lot of pictures there with our members. Then, we went to Daikanbou, where was so cold that we couldn't stay there so long time. We had a joyful time! After that, some my friends and I went to eat a noodle. [113 words]

my hobbies

My hobby is playing instruments. When I was high school, I played the Horn. Also, I have a electronic piano and I often play it. I don't learn playing piano, so it is not good playing. It's just my enjoyable. Another my hobby is playing with children, so I join the club which has chances to play them. I always take part in volunteer works which I look after them onece a month.

Weekend

This weekend was very busy and exciting for me! On Saturday, it was a sports festival day in KGU and our club took part in it. I didn't be entered games, but I cheered for my club members who took part in games. Also my friends and I took many pictures, which my friends and seniors who was running at a relay.

After the festival, we had a club camp at Nishigoshi. My two friends and I were to go to buy foods which we needed to cook dinner and Tapioka which we sold at the Takuma festival. It was so much quantity and heavy that bring them was a little bit hard. We had finished to buy and arrived at a place we stayed about at 7:00 pm. The other members who had arrived yet was cooking for dinner, which was curry rice. My friends and I began to cook to help them. We could cook it delicious. After dinner, we began to cook Tapioka to sell at the Takuma festival. We tried to make many tastes of Tapioka, which were tastes of strawberry, chocolate, caramel, mixed fruits and so on. We tried to drink them. These were good, however, some were needed to improve a little. Then, we began to make needed things, which was sign boad and so on. We spent time to prepare for things at midnight.

The next day, I had a volunteer work. It was picnic at a Tastuda Park with children and their parents. 6 members of our club joined in it. We had thought two games to enjoy. One of it was a treasure hunting game and the other was Kamotsuressha which we did Janken and a loser went back to a winner. The children seemed to be very fun! By the way, the picture above was what we got from a children's mother. It was rainy that day, but we enjoyed very much! I was really tired this weekend but it was exciting and fun! [334 words]

Dinner

My friends and I went out for dinner together. We went to Syuho which was a Chinese restaurant in Toshima, where my friend works part time. The restaurant was very beautiful and also quiet. It was not so big restaurant. It had some rooms which we could enjoy eating without other customers. The chief was very gentle person and he was very polite to customers. I thought the workers really took care for customer. Of course, dishes were delicious! The chief offered us soft drinks and also he was kind. After dinner, we went to Karaoke and sang songs about for 2 hours. It was very exciting that we sang songs which we knew together. We had a good time. [120 words]

Movie Review 2 Mrs. Doubtfire

This movie told us that to talk and understand each other is very important. We can't understand what someone thinks about if we don't talk. If we have bad habits and it makes someone feel uncomfortable, we need to talk and notice it and it makes good relationships.

The main character is Daniel, who really loved his family, especially his son and two daughters, and was loved by them too. He was good at changing his voice, which helped him in his work. He looked like an easygoing person, but indeed, he was a wonderful man because he could take pain for his family to improve relationships. He was also Mrs. Doubtfire. Miranda worked hard for her family because Daniel lost his job and she did housework too. She looked serious.

At the beginning of the story, Miranda said to Daniel they should divorce because she couldn't stand that he didn't help her. After they divorced, Daniel couldn't meet his children whenever he wanted, and that didn't make him satisfied. Miranda looked for housekeeper who could look after the children too. Daniel knew about that, and he changed his appearance to an old woman to work as a housekeeper and could work at Miranda's house. He took pain and it made Miranda and the children happy.

However, the children noticed Daniel was Mrs. Doubtfire. Miranda had a lover, and they went out for dinner with him and the children and Mrs. Doubtfire on her birthday. Then, Miranda knew the truth and was shocked. They had a trial and Daniel was banned from his meeting children without a watcher. However, not seeing Mrs. Doubtfire was made them sad. Miranda decided to accept Daniel as a housekeeper again and it made them happy.

This movie was a very wonderful story. I liked it because Daniel and Miranda understood each other at last. I was impressed by Daniel's efforts as a housekeeper. He so loved his family that he took pains to live with them again, I thought which was very wonderful. [339 words]

I'm looking forward the next Sunday because I go to picnic with children and my club members on a volunteer work. We have two idea to enjoy with children on the picnic, and one of these is a treasure hunting game. I hope children enjoy these games! However, I'll join the club camp at Nishigoshi on this weekend too. So I think it will be hard and busy for me. I'll enjoy this weekend. [74 words]

Book Review 4

I read the book whose title was The Wizard of Oz. One day, the girl named Dorothy involved a cyclone and brew off to far place with her house. She got to Oz, but she wanted to go back home. A woman suggested to Dorothy that the Great Wizard might take her home, so Dorothy left there to see him. On that way, she met 3 new friends. One of them was a scarecrow, who was shy and wanted own brain. Another of them was a tinman, who wanted own heart. The other of them was a lion, who was coward and wanted his courage. They went to see the Wizard and to have him grant each wishes. However, it was hard for them to reach Emerald city where the Wizard lived. They met a monster, but could escape form it by the tinman's help. The next happening, they had to pass the liver, and then the lion helped and they could pass. And next, there broaded many flowers, which made Dorothy and the lion sleepy. They helped each other and could reach the Emerald city. They met each wizard there, and talked about each hope. But they couldn't grant each hope. They were asked to kill a Wicked Witch, so they had to do it. Then, the Witch knew that they came to kill her and tricked many attacks. Dorothy and her friends managed to overcome some attacks, however, they were caught by the Witch. Dorothy and the lion had to do things which the Witch said. Although, Dorothy thew the water to the Witch, she melted and die. And then, they could get things which they wanted, and Dorothy could go back home. However, the lion and the scarecrow and the tinman already had got their hope because they helped each other during passing the way.They got a courage, a good heart and a thinking brain.

I like this story because they helped each other and got some important things for them. I thought it is wonderful to believe each other and help when they had any problems. Also, we can get courage if we want to help our friends. This story was also exciting that they had many tricks by the Witch. [375 words]
